Mahaheella School Sri Lanka

After the Tsunami on 26 th Dec 2004 Highland Council held a fund raising day. As a school we decided to send our donation to a charity set up in Sri Lanka , where we could see exactly how the money was spent. We chose Sri Lanka as Andrew Cripps, an ex-pupil was there at that time on a gap year with Project Trust. As a result we joined the TWINS scheme where we were twinned with a school in one of the affected areas. We are twinned with Mahaheella South Eshwera K V, Mahaheella, Beliatta, Sri Lanka. Beliatta is a small town in the south of the country and the nearest big town is Matara on the south coast.
